(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang has urged Phu Tho to create a breakthrough for rapid economic growth and sustainable development.

Speaking at a ceremony in Viet Tri city on Friday to mark Phu Tho’s 125^th founding anniversary and 20^th anniversary of reestablishment, the President said: “Phu Tho should upgrade its socio-economic infrastructure towards modernization and harmony and boost connectivity with provinces in the northwest and capital regions. Urban planning should be combined with building new rural areas. Viet Tri city should be invested to become a city of festival remembering the Vietnamese nation’s origin.”

President Quang said he believed that the Party, administration, and people of Phu Tho will work together to develop their home province. On this occasion, the President conferred the first class Independence Order on Phu Tho province.
