Businesses from Flanders and Brusseles seek to invest in HCM City

(VOVworld) - Ho Chi Minh City authorities are ready to support and create favorable conditions for enterprises from Flanders, Brussels and other localities of Belgium, wishing to invest in the city, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Van Khoa said on Monday at a meeting with Belgian Ambassador to Vietnam Jehanne Roccas, who led a delegation of businesses people seeking investment opportunities in Vietnam.

Mr. Khoa said HCM City is calling for investment and cooperation in tourism, flood prevention, waste treatment, public transportation, clean energy, and green growth.

Ms. Roccas said Belgian businesses are very interested in HCM City’s investment climate. Belgian firms are ready to share their experience in water management, waste treatment, and sustainable urban development.

The same day, they discussed with local departments and sectors on cooperation in urban infrastructure development, waste waster management, and human resources serving green urban development.
