(VOVworld) – Cambodia will conduct a funeral for its late Senate President, Mr Chea Sim, on June 19, an official document said.

Mr Chea Sim was the President of the ruling Cambodia People's Party and the President of Cambodia’s Senate from 1999 until his death.

The document, signed by Cambodia’s President Hun Sen, stated that Mr Chea Sim had devoted his life to Cambodia’s national liberation and development, leading Cambodia to becoming a more developed and prosperous country. Mr Chea Sim passed away on Monday at the age of 83.
