(VOVworld)-This year’s Carnival Ha Long 2012 opens on Tuesday evening as a climax of the Halong Tourism Week. The event gathers 3,800 amateur and professional performers as well as artists in international art troupes from the Republic of Korea, China and Laos. Director of Quang Ninh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism says that the festival as a vivid representation of 24 ethnic groups living in the province:“This year’s carnival reflects unique cultural identities and colors of various places in Quang Ninh province in a combination of modern and traditional values. The multi-colored festival reflects the province’s development and integration efforts.”
