Celebrating 65th anniversary of Vietnam-Bulgaria diplomatic ties

(VOVworld) – A meeting was held in Ho Chi Minh city to mark the 65th anniversary of Vietnam-Bulgaria diplomatic ties on Saturday. Le Quoc Hung, President of Ho Chi Minh city’s Union of Friendship Organizations, said Vietnamese people valued Bulgaria’s material and spiritual support for Vietnam’s liberation war in the past and the current national development and defense.

Bulgaria has helped Vietnam trained thousands of officials, experts, and skilled workers. Trade revenue between Vietnam and Bulgaria has increased 15 to 20% annually.
Oleg Marinov, Director of Bulgaria’s Economic and Trade Office in HCM City, said over the past 65 years both countries have built a close relationship and effective cooperation based on mutual respect, trust, and support. He said people studied in Bulgaria will contribute to the two countries’ relations in future.
