Central Advisory Council on Amnesty convenes
(VOVworld)- The Central Advisory Council on Amnesty convened on Monday to discuss amnesty for 2015. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Chairman of the Council, asked the Ministry of Public Security and the Government Office to complete guidance to help the Council implement the President’s decision on amnesty. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said:“We need to fulfill our assigned tasks thoroughly, objectively and cautiously in compliance with law to ensure legitimate interests of citizens. We need to strictly abide by the President’s decision”.
The Deputy Prime Minister asked press agencies to strengthen the dissemination of information on President’s decision on amnesty to eliminate stigma against released prisoners and help them to stabilize their lives and prevent delinquency. The President’s decision on amnesty will be announced and implemented between August 28th and 31st, 2015.
