(VOVworld) – Natural resource degradation and poor economic structure are among the many challenges facing Vietnam’s Central Highlands.

The information was released at a seminar held Wednesday in Kon Tum City to assess the Central Highlands’ situation identify advantages and challenges in the region, and propose appropriate mechanisms and policies for sustainable development. Some attendees suggested that economic stability and development must be ensured to achieve this goal. Other issues discussed include harmonizing the development of ethnic minority groups and new immigrant communities.
