Central region recovers from flood

| Carrying rice to people in flooded areas |
(VOVworld) – 34 people were killed and missing in a recent storm that hit the Central and Central Highlands regions and caused serious loss of life and damage to property. The Prime Minister ordered the Ministry of Finance to supply more than 5,000 tons of rice for people in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development provided 150,000 doses of vaccine and anti-bacterial chemical for flooded areas. Local authorities are mobilizing all their forces to provide necessities for people to ensure that no one goes hungry or thirsty.
The Prime Minister requested the People’s Committees of the Central and Central Highlands provinces to continue evacuating people from flood-prone regions to areas of safety. The Prime Minister also sent his condolences to flood victims’ families.
