Children need to be protected against climate change - ảnh 1

(VOVworld)- A seminar on the impact of climate change on children opened in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday. The delegates agreed on the need to develop policies to protect children against the harmful impacts of climate change. They urged leaders from the relevant sectors to increase their understanding and ability resolve climate-change related problems facing children. Pham Thi Lan is an expert from the United Nations Children’s Fund: “During the consultations, we shared our findings with the National Assembly deputies and they were very interested. They agreed that it was necessary to increase children’s participation in tackling climate change and their contributions to policies. Each locality needs to develop its own strategy on climate change response and protecting children”.
