(VOVworld) -  China has called on parties involved in the North Korean issue to exercise restraint and refrain from actions that might escalate tensions in the region.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying said on Monday that China proposes a "dual-track approach" to promote denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula and establish a peace mechanism. Hua suggested that North Korea consider suspending its nuclear and missile development in exchange for the suspension of large-scale US-South Korea military exercises.
