(VOVworld) – China and Sri Lanka issued a joint statement on Saturday on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields. The statement followed a 4-day official visit to China by Sri Lanka's Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

The two sides committed to deepening their mutually beneficial cooperation and extending mutual support in various regional and global forums. They reaffirmed their mutual support on issues of common interest.
