(VOVworld) – China wants to foster cooperation and reduce skepticism in relations with the US, Chinese President Xi Jinping said in his speech on Tuesday in Seattle city during his visit to the US.

President Xi proposed 4 points to develop relations between China and the US, saying China and the US should understand each other’s strategic purposes and enhance cooperation for their mutual benefit, resolve differences between the two countries and promote people exchanges. President Xi Jinping also said the US and China should soon complete their bilateral investment treaties. He expressed his opposition to the policy of underestimating competitiveness and creating a currency crisis and committed China not to devaluate the yuan to stimulate exports.

During his visit, President Xi will go to Washington to meet with President Barack Obama and meet leaders from US business. He will also attend the 70th session of the UN General Assembly.
