China’s 68th National Day marked in Hanoi

(VOVWORLD) - Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong hosted a banquet in Hanoi on Wednesday to celebrate the 68th National Day of the People’s Republic of China (October 1).

The ambassador highlighted China’s achievements over the past 68 years and recent progress in the China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. He reiterated that China is ready to boost win-win cooperation with Vietnam and elevate bilateral relations to a new height.

Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, said Vietnam values and wants to work with China to strengthen their traditional friendship and develop bilateral cooperation in a stable and healthy manner for the sake of their people, the region, and the world. Thuong added that he believes the leadership of the Communist Party of China will lead China’s people to more successes in making China a modern, rich, civilized, and harmonious socialist country.
