China’s militarization in the East Sea tops AUSMIN 2018
(VOVWORLD) - China’s militarization in the East Sea will be a key topic of the 2018 Australia–US Ministerial Consultations (AUSMIN), scheduled for next Monday at the Hoover Institute at Stanford University, California.
Australia’s Minister for Defence Marise Payne expressed her support for Canberra’s role in ensuring free movement through the shipping channels of the East Sea.
She reinforced Australia’s commitment to maintaining a strong partner in the region and consistently pursuing freedom of navigation and monitoring.
Minister Payne, Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop, and the US’s Secretaries of State and Defense will attend the event.
