Wu Dawei is believed to be holding talks with North Korean officials, including First vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan who represents the North on nuclear issues.
Wu’s last visit to North Korea was last November, a few days before he met with his US counterpart Glyn Davies in Beijing. During a trip to Beijing in January, US nuclear envoy Davies said Washington and Beijing were co-operating closely to bring North Korea back to “meaningful” nuclear talks.
