Chinese Coast Guard ships spotted near disputed islands
(VOVWORLD) - The Japanese Coast Guard (JCG) said on Monday, that 4 Chinese Coast Guard ships entered waters near the disputed islands known as Senkaku by Japan and Diaoyu by China.

JCG said they detected a ship equipped with guns, and that the ships remained in the waters for around 2 hours before leaving. The Senkaku islands are located 400 kilometers to the West of Okinawa prefecture and controlled by Japan. China also claims sovereignty over the islands and usually sends airplanes and ships to the area.
