(VOVworld) – Nha Trang city’s 18^th lion dance contest will kick off 20 cultural activities welcoming the Year of the Horse in Khanh Hoa province.

From January 22 to February 8 local residents and foreign visitors will have an opportunity to take part in many activities including a Spring Flower Festival, Nha Trang city’s antique market, and an exhibition featuring the culture of ethnic minorities in Khanh Hoa province and provinces in the southern part of the Central Highlands.
On Wednesday visitors attended a food festival introducing southern region cuisine and enjoyed local specialties. Nguyen Vu Hoang Dung, a visitor from Ho Chi Minh City said: "At the food festival this year, I learned more about many great dishes of the southern region. The festival makes me love my homeland much more."
In Binh Thuan province, fireworks will be displayed in 3 cities, along with many art programs. The province will also hold many sports events including boat races on the Ca Ty river, and running and mountain climbing competitions.
Vinh Phuc province will host an art exhibition featuring 500 artifacts, some dating back thousands of years.
