Mr. Nhan said last year the Front urged the Prime Minister to ask the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs and other agencies to review the policy on individuals who have rendered great service to the nation.

He said: “to date 63 provinces and cities have conducted a survey of more than 2 million people who rendered great service to the nation during Vietnam’s two resistance wars. 96% of those surveyed benefited from the policy. 63,700 people who didn’t benefit from the policy have submitted registration forms. One fourth of them were youth volunteers. We’ll prepare a report and submit it to the government and National Assembly this September.

At the meeting, VFF President Nguyen Thien Nhan and Head of of Party Central Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization Ha Thi Khiet presented savings books and houses to disadvantaged former youth volunteers.
