(VOVworld) - The 10th cooperation conference between Vietnamese and French localities in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho closed today/ on Friday. A joint statement was released and five memoranda of cooperation between the twelve localities of Vietnam and France were signed. According to Jean Noel Poirier, the French ambassador to Vietnam, locality partners on both sides have found solutions to their own issues.

The conference between Vietnamese and French localities dates back to 1989 and has developed and contributed to the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. Ambassador Poirier also highly spoke of the idea of linking this conference with other cultural events such as the Vietnam-France art exchange program, photo exhibitions and Vietnamese-French cuisine exchanges. He expressed his hope that this conference would attract more investment from France’s localities to Vietnam.
