CPTPP helps drive Canadian interest in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - A workshop was held in Toronto, Canada, on Monday to brief Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on the Vietnamese market now that the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) has become effective.

At the workshop called “CPTPP: Vietnam”, Canadian Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion Mary Ng touted the relationship between Canada and Vietnam, two members of the CPTPP, and Vietnam’s position as Canada’s trade partner in ASEAN.
Ms. Ng said the Vietnam-Canada partnership is already strong thanks to two-way trade and can be further strengthened by market research and trade fairs to create new business opportunities in Vietnam. The Canadian business community is especially interested in Vietnamese pork, beef, chicken, seafood, and fresh fruit.
