The collection comprises 6 volumes, 3 of which have already been published, and the fourth one is expected to be publicized by the end of this year.

Mr. Tien said the idea of writing the encyclopedia started 10 years ago. The two authors had spent much time studying the languages, history, culture and societies of Vietnam and the Czech Republic to provide readers knowledge about different areas of life. Tien said:“Currently the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic is one of the strongest ethnic minorities in the country. We would like to build a noteworthy encyclopedia to prove Vietnamese’ role and prestige in the Czech Republic.”

At the working session, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Truong Manh Son said the encyclopedia will contribute to popularizing the Vietnamese language and traditional culture and fostering the bilateral traditional friendship.
