Da Nang's efforts to cope with storms and floods highlighted

(VOVworld)- Da Nang City has hosted an art and gala show to mark the 5
th anniversary of the foundation on natural disaster prevention in the central region. Speaking at the event on Saturday, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised the foundation’s humanitarian aids over the past 5 years and called for more philanthropical efforts to support the central region. The foundation has sponsored the building of 70 schools, health clinics and flood shelters for flood victims.
Vietnam Communist Party’s delegation participated at an international workshop in Mexico
A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Deputy Chief of the External Affairs Commission, Vuong Thua Phong, has joined an international workshop on new political parties and society in Mexico. Speaking at the event last week, Phong praised Vietnam’s renovation led by its Communist Party to steer the country towards modern and industrial nation by 2020 despite slow economic recovery in the world. On its foreign policy, Vietnam has actively contributed to international security and development issues while raising national image in the world.
