Davos 2018: Germany warns of protectionism
(VOVWORLD) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel told the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos on Wednesday that protectionism is not the solution to the world’s problems.

In a speech one day before US President Donald Trump’s arrival, Merkel said isolationism won’t give a better future to the world. She said France and Germany are promoting a joint tax system in the EU.
Trump is scheduled to deliver a speech on Friday. US officials said Trump’s participation at the forum aims to consolidate US interests and boost America’s foreign relations.
