At a working session in Dien Bien on Friday, Mr. Binh acknowledged results Dien Bien has achieved in resettling people. But he said spontaneous migration without local government’s control will damage master plans and leave severe consequences in security, order, and forest protection. He called on Dien Bien to help in locals’ relocation to avoid nomadic farming and forest destruction for farm land.

Earlier, the Deputy PM had a working session with leaders of Muong Nhe district on a project to resettle people, develop economy, and ensure defense and security.
