(VOVworld) - Nguyen Nguyet Nga, wife of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh received in Hanoi yesterday a delegation of wives of ambassadors to China.

The annual event, an initiative of the Foreign Ministry and the Embassy of Vietnam in Beijing, was attended by the wives of Ambassadors to China from the US, the EU, Slovakia, Mongolia, Chile, and Vietnam.
Ms. Nga thanked the ladies for respecting the history, the people, and the landscapes of Vietnam. The wife of the US Ambassador to China, Melodee Hanes, said she hopes the event will continue to be held to enhance mutual understanding and solidarity among countries.
The ladies shared their impressions of Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements, friendly people, and heroic traditions. While in Vietnam, they visited Ha Long Bay – a world natural heritage recognised by UNESCO in Quang Ninh province, Sword Lake in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and the Mekong Delta.
