Deputy PM receives Irish Minister of Education and Skills

(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has thanked the Irish government and people for giving priority to cooperation with Vietnam and for funding socio-economic projects in the country.

At a reception for Irish Minister of Education and Skills Richard Bruton in Hanoi on Friday, Mr. Minh called on Ireland to consider increasing university and postgraduate scholarships for Vietnam, help in English language training, and share its experience in education quality assessment and human resource development.

Minister Bruton said the Irish government has committed an ODA worth 7.5 million Euros until 2020 to help Vietnam reduce poverty, develop human resources, assist people with disabilities, and clear landmines left from the war, contributing to the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals.
