Mr. Hue highlighted the strong measures of the government and the hard work of the investigating police agency. He said the government will continue to implement working programs set forth by the Central Steering Committee on Corruption Prevention and Control.

Deputy PM Hue emphasized positive socio-economic performance in five months, macro-economic stability, consumer price index increase of over 3%, an export turnover of 93 billion USD, an export surplus of 3.4 billion USD, and implementation of FDI projects worth 6.7 billion USD: “In five months, more than 52,000 enterprises were established with a total registered and added capital of 61 billion USD. Cultural and social areas continued positive changes. 640,000 people were employed, including 48,000 guest workers. Security and social order and safety were ensured. But there remain challenges. In the near future, the government, ministries, and localities will closely follow any developments and aggressively implement solutions to successfully achieve targets and plans for 2018.”

The Deputy PM said the government will finalize national standards for environment, build a system of environmental monitoring and warnings, and implement the National Strategy on Climate Change and a target program on climate change response and green growth.
