(VOVworld) Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh on Tuesday headed to the US to take part in the Vietnam Executive Leadership Program (VELP) at Harvard University. The visit until February 18^th aims to strengthen mutual understanding, trust and cooperation with the US. Both sides will also hold a round table discussion with major American businesses to boost investment into Vietnam. Vietnam joins the VELP to update the world economic situation and outlook and global issues, and other countries’ policies of inflation control, macro-economic stabilization, economic restructure and competitiveness enhancement. VELP consists of regular discussion sessions and seminars, applied research, and a guided policy dialogue program for senior Vietnamese officials convened annually at Harvard.
