During his two-day visit, Mr. Hue met with Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico and affirmed Vietnam’s commitment to traditional friends like Slovakia.

Prime Minister Fico said Slovakia supports Vietnam-EU tie and the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement.

At a Vietnam investment promotion workshop in Bratislava on Thursday attended by 100 business representatives from Slovakia and Central and Eastern Europe, Deputy Prime Minister Hue highlighted Vietnam’s socio-economic accomplishments, development plans, and incentives to encourage investment in Vietnam: “Vietnam calls for Slovakian investment, particularly in automobile and spare parts manufacturing, mechanics, industrial equipment, electronics, and infrastructure development. Vietnamese enterprises are also encouraged to seek business opportunities in IT and consumer goods production in Slovakia, which Vietnam considers a gateway to the EU market”.

Mr. Hue met with heads of Slovakia’s leading groups, and the staff of the Vietnamese embassy.
