Developing cooperatives in the central and central highlands regions

(VOVworld) The 21st conference to review the development of cooperatives in the central and central highlands regions opened in Quang Nam province on Wednesday. Delegates discussed the state of cooperatives and ways to develop them in the years to come. Chairman of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance Dao Xuan Can noted that the revised Law on Cooperatives should continue to be disseminated to help the people better understand their rights and duties. He added that provinces should encourage businesses to help cooperatives in material supply and product sales. The central and central highlands regions now have close to 80,000 cooperatives, 55% of which are involved in agricultural production.
