Over the past five years, the Ministry of Information and Communications have worked closely with related agencies and localities to organize communications campaigns and exhibitions of maps and documents both at home and abroad to confirm Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Truong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago. Such activities aimed to inspire people’s responsibility to protect Vietnam’s territorial integrity.

Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan said that the dissemination of information about Vietnam’s sea and islands requires long-term joint efforts from central to grassroots agencies.

Minister Tuan called on ministries, agencies, local authorities, and armed forces to promote their communications campaigns about Vietnam’s sea and islands and socio-economic development tasks while strengthening national defense and security.
