Despite having a short time to prepare, Vietnam did its best to organise the summit and ensure its absolute security and safety, he said, adding that Vietnam’s efforts  were recognised and appreciated by the DPRK and US leaders and the international community. The Prime Minister in turn praised the efforts of Vietnam’s ministries, sectors, and agencies to accommodate the DPRK and US delegations, singling out the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Information and Communication, and the Government Office.

“We did a lot to contribute to international relations. The summit has to date been the best opportunity for Vietnam to promote the image of a friendly country with a unique culture and lifestyle.”, Mr Phuc said.
PM Phuc asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade and related agencies to push economic development and export of Vietnam’s principal products, and speed up the disbursement of public investment funds.  
“We have to exceed the target set for 2019. I’m asking ministries to identify problems that need solutions with respect to culture, society, the environment, administrative reform, anti-corruption, and national security, and deliver the best possible result for the first quarter of 2019.”, Mr. Phuc added.
Cabinet members discussed a report on the socio-economic situation in the two first months of 2019.
