(VOVWORLD) - The National Assembly Standing Committee debated the draft law on Special Administrative-Economic Units at their 23rd session on Monday.
 The Van Don special administrative-economic unit in Quang Ninh province is taking shape.

Earlier this month, legislators agreed on the need for streamlined local governance with authority and responsibility conforming to the operation of the various special units.
There will be 3 special administrative-economic units in Vietnam: Van Don in Quang Ninh province, Bac Van Phong in Khanh Hoa province, and Phu Quoc in Kien Giang province.
