Madam Ngan made the statement on Monday at a meeting in Hanoi to honor 37 outstanding organizations and individuals who excelled in the All People's Border Guard Day event over the past 10 years.
The Party and State have adopted policies to boost socio-economic development and defense-security to safeguard national sovereignty and maintain defense, Ms. Ngan said.
"Building, managing, and protecting the national border requires joint efforts on the part of the Party, State, and all people. Each individual should serve as a living milestone in their border area," she noted.
