Easter bombers in Sri Lanka all killed or arrested: police chief

(VOVWORLD) - Sri Lankan security authorities have either killed or arrested all the parties responsible for the Easter suicide bombings that left 257 people dead and 500 others injured, police chief Chandana Wickramaratne said Tuesday.

Wickramaratne said police have seized the explosives stockpiled by extremists for future attacks. The multiple suicide bombings over the past weeks have consequently affected tourism, Sri Lanka’s leading sector. The country’s Tourism Bureau vowed to launch a new campaign to attract foreign tourists while Colombo authority said they will take measures to revive the industry within a year.
