(VOVworld) - EC President Jean-Claude Juncker has sent a letter to Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi to show his support for Italy’s migration compact.
Junker wrote that Italy’s solutions are necessary to resolve the root of the migrant issue, protect EU’s external border, and return to a fully functioning Shengen system.
He said the EC would implement all of Italy’s proposed solutions, which will be fed into the EU’s initiative on migration to be presented at the EU summit on June 28-29.
