Egypt: 48 NGOs approved to monitor presidential elections
(VOVWORLD) - Egypt's National Elections Authority (NEA) has announced that 48 NGOs have received approval to monitor the upcoming presidential elections in March.

NEA spokesman Mahmoud El-Sherif said in a statement that the approved organizations comprise 44 local and four international NGOs, in addition to the National Council for Human Rights and the National Council for Women. The NEA will continue reviewing requests by NGOs to monitor the elections, with approval codes to be issued before next month, he said.
