Egypt criticizes Israeli bill on Jerusalem

(VOVWORLD) - The Israeli Parliament’s vote on the "unified Jerusalem law" breaches international resolutions, Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zaid said on Wednesday, adding that the law is an obstacle to the Palestinian-Israeli peace process.

Israeli Parliament on Monday approved a bill which stipulates a vote of two-thirds of its member before the Israeli government give up control over any part of Jerusalem. The Foreign Ministers of Jordan, Egypt, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Morocco will meet Saturday in Jordan to discuss increased Middle-East tensions since the US recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
