Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told reporters that the UK, Greece, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Lithuania, and Romania have pledged to spend 2% of their GDP on defense. The statement came a day before Wednesday’s NATO Summit.

The Canadian Prime Minister’s office said the same day that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau plans to prolong Ottawa’s mission of leading NATO’s battle group in Latvia for a few more years.
