(VOVworld) – The EU migrant crisis was high on the agenda of the UN Security Council meeting in Geneva on Monday. The Council agreed that ending the Syrian conflict is the best way to stop the flood of migrants fleeing to the EU.

EU countries, which have received hundreds of thousands of migrants, say the Syrian conflict is the root of the problem.
UN representatives have asked the international community to share responsibility in resolving the humanitarian issues deriving from the fighting.
