(VOVworld) - The EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Phil Hogan headed a high-level mission of 42 agro-food businesses from the bloc to pay a working visit in Ho Chi Minh city.

Mister Hogan said that promoting trade links in agricultural products with Vietnam based on the just signed EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) is very important. The agreement promises great potentials for increased trade and investment flows between Vietnam and the EU. Vietnam is now 21^st on the list of EU world trade partners and is the second biggest partner of EU in ASEAN.  Mister Hogan said that the EVFTA would bring tremendous opportunities for both sides, while helping to facilitate relations between Vietnam and the EU.
