EU proposes trilateral gas negotiation

(VOVworld) – Energy chiefs of Russia, Ukraine, and the EU will hold talks in Brussels on Monday to discuss problems with gas supplies to Ukraine.

Russian new agency Itar-TASS said leaders of Russian energy corporation Gazprom and Ukrainian Naftogaz will also join the talks.
European Commission spokeswoman Anna-Kaisa Itkonen said the EU will urge Russia and Ukraine to fulfill their duties in gas delivery to Europe, suggesting the separation of Russian gas delivery to Donbass with other Ukrainian regions. Gazprom said it agreed with the EU, if Naftogaz completes its gas repayment in March.
