European bank to loan Hanoi urban railway
(VOVWORLD) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide a 170-million-dollar loan for construction of the Hanoi Metro 3 and for the purchase of new trains.

The 12.5-km train link with 12 connecting stations is expected to cut travel time and cost and reduce air pollution. Head of the EU delegation to Vietnam Bruno Angelet said the financial support provided by EIB to improve the traffic network in Hanoi demonstrates tight cooperation between the EU and Vietnam.
