They were awarded at a ceremony on Saturday organized by the Vietnam Women’s Union. Addressing the event, Tran Thanh Man, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front applauded the honorees, saying the Party, State, and Front highly value contributions made by members of the Vietnam Women’s Union. He called for more care to women in remote and disadvantaged areas: “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, morality, and style should be a regular job of the Vietnam Women Union at all levels. Women’s voice and aspirations should be respected, so that they will consider the Union a truly organization to trust in.”
