Exchange program addresses unexploded ordnance

(VOVWORLD) -An art and exchange program entitled “For a peaceful life” was held in Dak Lak province on Saturday night as part Vietnam’s communication campaigns to raise people’s awareness of the accidents caused by unexploded landmines.

Reports, plays, and stories told by the victims highlighted the danger of war remnants and provided the public with skills to protect themselves. On this occasion, the Fund for overcoming landmine aftermath presented 20 gifts worth 12 million VND each to landmine victims in Dak Lak. The province has 12,700 ha land contaminated by landmines of which only 4% is under review.
