Luong Thanh Nghi, Deputy Head of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, informed the media of the Committee's activities.

Luong Thanh Nghi, Deputy Head of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, told a press conference in Hanoi Thursday: “Last year we organized many events for overseas Vietnamese to return home to exchange with the local administrations and people, such as the annual “Homeland Spring”, the Summer camp for young overseas Vietnamese, and visits to Truong Sa and the DK1 platform. In addition, conferences and seminars drew significant participation of overseas Vietnamese.”

As planned, a conference on connections between overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese localities will take place in Nghe An and Ha Tinh province from December 26 to 29. This year the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs will create better conditions for overseas Vietnamese to contribute to national development, strengthening unity, and continuing to promote Vietnamese cultural identity abroad.
