In the project’s first phase, 30 outstanding farmers will be sent to South Korea this June to gain experience in agricultural production and new rural construction. The city also plans to send up to 125 farmers and managers to Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, and China in the next 4 years to broaden their knowledge and experience in management and technology. Farmers and managers will get a chance to study effective agriculture models and take part in trade promotion activities. Nguyen Van Phung is the Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City's FarmersAssociation: "Farmers are expected to apply new experiences and knowledge in production at home after their study, contributing to the success of the city’s new rural development movement. This model will help local farmers integrate with their peers around the world."
With a total investment of nearly 240,000 USD, the project aims to develop high quality human resources for the agriculture sector, contributing to the city’s sustainable agricultural development.
