(VOVworld) – A festival of the worship of the Mother Goddess commenced on Friday at the Hanoi Cultural Friendship Palace with the participation of 15 ritual practice groups from Hanoi and adjacent provinces.

The festival aims to honor the true meaning of the Mother Goddess worship. It’s part of Vietnam’s efforts to gain UNESCO’s recognition of Vietnam's Mother Goddess worship as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Mother Goddess worship groups have exchanged experience to improve the spiritual and cultural values of Mother Goddess Worship in contemporary society.
