(VOVworld) - The second festival for Vietnamese Students in Europe will take place at Choisy-le-Roi, France, on August 27-28. Themed “Shine as you are”, the event receives support from the Vietnam Youth Union, the Vietnam Students’ Association, the Vietnamese Embassy in France, and others.

Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son told a press conference: “The Vietnamese Students Festival is a venue for young Vietnamese studying and working in Europe to exchange information. It’s a good way to promote the Vietnamese land and people to the world. The festival aims to rekindle love for the homeland among young Vietnamese living abroad.”
Nguyen Minh Duc, Vice President of the Vietnam Students’ Association in France, says that in addition to intellectual, artistic, music, and teamwork activities, the festival will feature a contest called “Genuine Talents Europe 2016” and a workshop on the East Sea issue. “We’ll meet to discuss the East Sea issue and provide young people with information about Vietnam’s sea and islands and the importance of the East Sea internationally. We’ll focus on the role and action of young people in this issue.”
The 1st festival of Vietnamese Students in Europe was held in Germany in 2015.
