(VOVworld) - Five United Nations peacekeepers were killed and another seriously injured in an ambush in central Mali on Sunday, the UN said.

A convoy of soldiers of the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) was attacked 19 miles west of Sevaré, central Mali. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks. The UN chief Ban Ki Moon strongly criticized the attack, calling for quick action to bring the perpetrators to justice.
